Our Approach

To provide mental health care and wellness for women in coffee farming through a 5-month integrative program that combines teletherapy, education, and community-based support, to create spaces where women break cycles of silence, gain agency, and improve their well-being.

Our Mission

We envision a future where no woman in coffee farming has to struggle alone, and where integrative mental health care and wellness programs are accessible and prioritized, ensuring the well-being of women, their families, and communities, thus taking a crucial step toward gender equity in the coffee industry.

Our Vision

Our Framework

SANA’s model is inspired by Antonovsky’s Salutogenic Framework, which prioritizes strengthening mental well-being rather than diagnosing illness. It is built on three key pillars: comprehensibility (understanding one’s environment), manageability (coping with stressors), and meaningfulness (finding purpose and value).

Our Alignment

We align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 agenda, addressing SDG 3.4: Prevent and treat non-communicable diseases while promoting mental well-being, SDG 5.B: Leverage technology for women's empowerment, and SDG 10.2: Foster inclusive social, economic, and political participation for all.

Also, we align with the World Health Organization’s Comprehensive Mental Health Action Plan 2013–2030, promoting a world where mental health is valued, protected, and accessible.
